The ring that
never closed.
We planned to synthesize imidazopyridines. By the time we wrote the final report, the route had not given us the intended rings. We had three imines and an increasingly interesting question about what they did in solution.
This film follows work from QNRF project UREP23-133-1-028. The colour changes and reported absorbance wavelengths come from the project record; the chemical drawings illustrate the reaction rather than reproducing measured spectra.

The intended imidazopyridine route did not yield the target rings. The failure and the observed chemistry remain distinct from the projected anticancer objective.
