Research funding / project records

Four research grants.
From micelles to pulmonary injury.

Four QNRF Undergraduate Research Experience Program projects took me from block-copolymer micelles to pulmonary cell injury, plasma-modified scaffolds and heterocyclic chemistry. I joined these teams as an undergraduate researcher at Qatar University. The projects taught me to move between experimental questions and to recognize when a planned synthesis, measurement or material required a different approach. Their original proposals and records remain available below.

UREP19-110-1-014 · Polymer physical chemistry and colloidal transport

Polymeric micelles for remediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

Self-assembled block-copolymer micelles for solubilizing and recovering hydrophobic environmental pollutants.

My contribution: Drafted project-proposal material and calculated Flory–Huggins interaction parameters (χ) to evaluate theoretical PAH–diblock-copolymer compatibility and support candidate-polymer selection.

Project titles and identifiers follow the archived QNRF UREP research plans. My participation was as an undergraduate student researcher within supervised, collaborative project teams. The UREP23 record also includes a final report, and related peer-reviewed outputs are cited where available.

Research development

From early grants to contemporary bioengineering.

The early projects created connections that remain visible in my subsequent research: polymeric systems and formulation, mechanics of injured epithelia, engineered biomaterials and molecular structure–function relationships. The same questions inform later work in pulmonary therapeutics and model-driven drug delivery.
